Description
No 19 Market Place is a house in a terrace, likely originally part of a single building with No 20 Market Place. It dates from the mid-18th century and is constructed of rubble stone with quoins, featuring a coped parapet and a slate roof with a rendered end stack on the right. The building has a large front range and a rear wing, rising to three storeys. The facade includes three windows, which are 12-pane sashes with concrete lintels, although the window to the right is not a sash. The second floor has twin casements. On the ground floor, there is a central round-headed doorway with a radial fanlight and a half-glazed 19th-century door. To the left, there is a 20th-century plate glass window and a tall round-headed niche. On the right, two blocked windows create niches with a round-headed opening between them, featuring a keystone and a sash window.
