Description

The building is a public library, originally a Wesleyan Methodist Chapel, dated 1825. It features rubble stone walls with stone quoins and an asbestos slate roof with a tile ridge. There is a brick stack at the right-hand gable. The structure is one storey high and has two large 20th-century sash windows with glazing bars and wooden cills. The stone arch voussoirs are visible above the windows. There is a blocked round-arch entrance on the left side at ground level, which has one hexagonal 20th-century light. The door into the library is centrally located, made of planks and muntins, and has stone arch voussoirs above it.
