Description
Red House is a detached house built in the mid-18th century. It features red brick walls laid in header bond throughout and has an asbestos slate roof with gable ends. There are brick stacks at each gable. The house is two storeys high and has three sash windows with glazing bars, white painted lintels with projecting keys, and wooden cills. At the front, there is a centrally located early 19th-century wooden door with flush and recessed panels and two top lights, topped by a bracketed wooden canopy. Additionally, there are two 20th-century dormers with small two-light casements. On the loft gable wall, there is a rubble-stone outbuilding with a pentice roof, also covered with asbestos slate.
