Description

Rose Cottage is a detached house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick, featuring slate hung end walls and rendered corner pilasters. The roof is slate with gabled ends. The house has two storeys and consists of three bays. The first floor has sash windows with glazing bars, which are topped with flat brick arches, while the ground floor windows have segmental brick arches. The central entrance features a pilastered doorcase with an open pediment, panelled reveals, a semi-circular fanlight, and a panelled door. There are brick chimneystacks at the gable ends, and a hipped roof wing extends from the rear.
