Description

Manor Cottage at Tamarisk Farm is a detached house, originally four cottages, dating to the late 18th century with alterations made in the mid-19th century. The house has rubble-stone walls with stone quoins, renewed stone gable-copings with level kneelers, and brick stacks located at the left-hand gable, the right-hand inner gable, further along the ridge, and the far right-hand gable. It is two storeys high, with four windows in total. The windows are 3-light wooden casements with glazing-bars, with 20th-century wooden sills. The ground floor windows have segmental dressed stone voussoirs. A 20th-century plank front door is located on the left-hand side at ground level, set within a wooden frame. Outhouses are situated on the left and right sides, with gables under pentice slate roofs. Inside, the fireplaces have brick jambs and segmental brick heads.
