Description

The Manor Hotel is an early 19th-century former farmhouse, later extended in the mid-19th century with a rear wing set at right angles. The building is constructed of rubble-stone with a slate roof, stone gable copings, and 19th-century brick stacks at each gable. The south elevation has two storeys, a basement, and attics, with three windows. The ground floor has 20th-century French windows and a canted bay on the right-hand side. The first floor features 19th-century sash windows in flush frames, and there are small two-light dormers above. The rear wing's east elevation has a cast-iron openwork porch with a flared metal roof towards the south end. The current entrance is on the west elevation and consists of a 20th-century plank door.
