Description

Look-Out on The Knoll is a signal station built around 1800. It features rubble-stone walls resting on a stone plinth and has a stone-slab roof with a brick stack at the north gable. The building is a single storey, originally designed with a loft space above. There are entrances on each side, which have segmental heads, except for the north side where the stack is located. A small square opening on the south side indicates the former loft. The upper level of the building is rendered. Inside, there is a fireplace on the north gable wall, with the wall thickened to accommodate it.
