Description
School House is a house in a row, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It features Flemish bond brickwork and has a later roof. The building is two storeys high with an attic and has two windows. There are flat-roofed dormers with six-pane sashes above a twelve-pane sash window on the first floor to the right. To the left, there is a two-storey faceted bay that has been rebuilt and now contains 20th-century casement windows. On the right side, there is an original six-panel door beneath a light hood, while to the left is a former doorway that has been filled with brickwork. Above, there is a blocking course with parapet coping set above a brick string at lintel height. The left gable features a large chimney stack, and there is a parallel rear range. The right gable shows remains of a previously attached property, which rises to a rough-coped gable parapet and is heavily overgrown. The previous description noted that the original sashes were retained, featuring bars to the bow and modillion cornices. The interior has not been inspected.
