Description
Hamilton House is a detached house located on Chamberlaine Road in Wyke Regis, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. The exterior is rendered and scribed, topped with a slate roof. The front is symmetrical with three storeys and three windows, featuring plain sash windows set in reveals with stone sills. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door beneath a blind plaster shell pattern fanlight, accessed by two steps. A moulded cornice with a blocking course and parapet extends to the left, where it returns to the first of two end stacks. The left side of the house has a sash window on each floor at the left-hand end, with bars on the ground floor and the upper half of the first floor. The back of the house is hipped and has later additions. The interior has not been inspected.
