Description

The Old School Building at Foster's School, dating from 1874, features two parallel ranges with stone slate roofs and rough ashlar fronts. It is one and two storeys high. The north wall has a central gabled projection with a rectangular window of four lights that has cusped heads. In the west gable end of the north range, there are two two-light mullioned windows above and one to the left below, along with a doorway with a fanlight to the right. The west gable end of the south range has a rectangular window of four lights with cusped heads. The south wall includes a date plaque from 1874 above a rectangular four-light mullioned window in a central gabled projection, with small three-light windows on either side.
