Description
63 Newland is a late 19th-century building that stands two storeys high with an attic and features three window bays. It has a gabled dormer and a moulded wood eaves cornice. The front is made of stone, with sash windows set in reveals and ashlar dressings, lacking glazing bars, and with narrower windows at each end. On the ground floor, there are four-panelled doors with fanlights at either end. An ashlar course runs across the voussoirs of the ground floor doors and window. The building is listed for its group value alongside the Wesley Manse and No 65, as well as several other nearby structures, including No 31 Newland, the east range of Sherborne House, the front and rear garden walls of Sherborne House, No 41, The Manor House, three cottages next to The Manor House, two adjoining cottages, Nos 57 to 93 (odd), and the north-east boundary wall to Newland Close.
