Description
The Lorne is a building from the 19th century, featuring a slate gabled roof and a rendered front with an ashlar plinth. It has giant pilasters at either end and a gable end facing east, where the entrance is located. The front, which faces the road, is two storeys high and has a two-window bay. The windows are sash style set in reveals with rendered architraves. There is a modern glazed door in the east gable end. The Lorne is part of a group that includes No 31 Newland, the east range of Sherborne House, the front and rear garden walls of Sherborne House, No 41, The Manor House, three cottages next to The Manor House, two adjoining cottages, Nos 57 to 93 (odd), and the north-east boundary wall to Newland Close.
