Description

59 Newland is an early to mid 19th century building featuring a two-storey facade with two windows, constructed from ashlar stone. The roof is covered with plain tiles. The building has sash windows, with the upper windows being three panes wide and fitted with blind covers. The central doorway is framed by a late Georgian stone surround, complete with Tuscan pilasters and an entablature. The door itself is six-panelled, with the top two panels being glazed. This property is part of a group that includes No 31 Newland, the east range of Sherborne House, the front and rear garden walls of Sherborne House, No 41, The Manor House, three cottages next to The Manor House, two cottages adjoining, Nos 57 to 93 (odd), and the north-east boundary wall to Newland Close.
