Description

The building is a former school, dating to 1861. It is constructed of red brick with ashlar dressings and a pitched slate roof. The main range features four sections, each with mullion and transom windows, topped by three hipped and sprocketed gables. Two central ranges are under a single gable. An open lantern with applied pilasters and a lead spire is located at the east end of the first floor. A two-storey wing extends to the east, featuring one range of mullioned windows. A further two-storey wing is situated at the west end with a hipped roof incorporating fake machicolations, and two ranges of windows; one topped by a gable with mullion and transom windows and the other with a single mullion.
