Description

The building at 9 and 11 West Street dates to 1880. It is constructed of red brick at ground floor level, with the first floor clad in blue and red fishscale tiles. The roof is tiled and pitched. The building is two storeys high. A moulded brick bressummer runs above the ground floor. There are four ranges of casement windows with glazing bars. The outer ranges project forward and are topped with gables featuring bargeboards. The inner ranges include porches with lean-to roofs, each with a single window flanked by Caernarvon etched planked doors. Tall brick stacks with tumbled batters are located at the ends of the building.
