Description
The Greenhayes Centre is a school built in 1896, now serving as a resource centre. It is constructed of red brick with buff terracotta dressings and features a slate hipped roof with valley and end stacks. The building is designed in a simple Renaissance style, consisting of a main range and cross wings, each with separate roofs. It stands two stories tall and has a six-window range at the center, featuring 3-light mullion and transom windows. The central pair of windows is higher and topped with an ornamental gable. There are buttresses between the windows. The wings each have a single window above paired doorways, also with ornamental gables. The sides of the building are similar in design. Atop the central roof, there is a fleche with a square balustrade and an open lantern.
