Description

The Student Health Centre at the University of Manchester is a block of three dwellings combined into one unit, dating from the early 19th century and altered over time. The building features scored stucco on brick and has a hipped slate roof. It has a square plan with side wings at the rear and stands two storeys tall with five windows arranged symmetrically. The façade includes a plinth, a first-floor sill-band, and projected eaves.

A very wide round-headed central doorway, complete with a keystone, is set within a tripartite doorcase that has panelled divided doors, sidelights, a cornice, and a fanlight with slender radiating tracery. Each floor has four 12-pane sashed windows, and there is a blind window above the doorway, all featuring plain reveals. The side walls have four windows each, designed in a similar style but with slightly simpler doorways in the second bay and 4-pane sashed windows. The interior has not been inspected.
