Description
The Lawn is an early 19th-century building with later 19th-century additions, located on the south side of Pound Street. It consists of two parallel ranges with gable ends facing the road, featuring slate roofs and a stuccoed front. The east-facing front has four windows on the first floor. From left to right, there are two sash windows with glazing bars, a three-light window, and a square bay at the right end, present on both floors. In the gable ends facing the street, there is a sash window with glazing bars above, and on the ground floor, a six-panelled door with two fielded panels in the center and two glazed panels above, supported by a hood on trellised supports. To the right, there is another sash window with glazing bars above and a horizontal sliding sash with glazing bars below. The Lawn, along with Hotel Buena Vista, the north boundary walls, Tivoli Cottage, and Nos 14 and 15, forms a group.
