Description

Rosehill is an early 19th-century house located on Silver Street. It is two storeys tall and features a hipped slate roof with a stuccoed front. The house faces north-east towards its garden and has three window bays, with sash windows that include glazing bars above. On the ground floor, there are two sash windows and a French casement at the right end. A glass verandah supported by trellised supports extends in front of the ground floor and returns along the south-east side. The entrance to the house is on the north-west side, accessed by a flight of steps leading up to a six-panelled door within a trellised porch. To the right of the doorway is a round-headed staircase window.

Rosehill is part of a group that includes The Little Place, the north-east boundary wall, the garden wall of Burley, the old Vicarage, the former stable block, the garden wall to Burley and the Old Vicarage, West Hill and its garden wall, the Roman Catholic Church of St Michael and St George, and the Dorset Hotel on Pound Road.
