Description
The Governor's House is an early 19th-century building located on Cannon Street. It is two storeys high with attics and has a stuccoed exterior. The roof is tiled and features two dormers, along with a parapet that has a modillion cornice. The front has three sash windows with restored glazing bars, and the first-floor windows are fitted with Venetian shutters. There is a flat porch supported by wooden columns. On the left side, there is a three-light canted bay window on the first floor, which is supported by Tuscan columns. Additionally, there is a 19th-century ground floor extension that adds one window bay to the northeast. The listed buildings on the northwest side of the street form a group.
