Description
The Gun House is a late 18th-century building located on Cannon Street. It has two storeys and attics, constructed of brown brick with red brick relieving arches. The roof is tiled and features three hipped dormers, along with a parapet. The façade includes five sash windows with intact glazing bars, cambered head linings, and Venetian shutters. A modern porch with a six-panel door, where the top two panels are cut away and glazed, is present at the entrance. Inside, there is some contemporary panelling. To the northeast of the house, there is a wrought iron gate that provides access to the garden, which is flanked by brick piers topped with cemented ball caps. A six-foot-high red brick garden wall surrounds the property. The listed buildings on the northwest side form a group.
