Description

Townsend Farm House is a detached farmhouse built in the late 18th century and enlarged in the 19th century. It features brick walls, with parts of the west wall covered in roughcast, and a tiled roof with brick stacks that have oversailing caps. The building has an L-shaped plan and stands two storeys tall. The entrance is located in the east gable wall. The main south elevation, which faces Cow Drove, has three casement windows with glazing bars on each floor, with the ground floor windows having segmental heads. There is a 19th-century single-storey addition on the north side of the main south range.
