Description

A pair of cottages, originally one house, with its origins in the late 16th and early 17th centuries, enlarged in the 18th century, and further enlarged and divided in the 19th century. The construction is of plastered cob walls resting on brick bases, with a hipped thatched roof and brick stacks. The building is one storey high with attics. There is one ledged door and one part-glazed door. The ground floor features five casement windows with glazing bars, and the attic retains remnants of dormers with casements and glazing bars. Inside, there are large open fireplaces, some of which have been blocked, and some exposed ceiling beams. The building was under repair in 1983.
