The Old Rectory With Attached Coach House To North

The Old Rectory, with an attached coach house to the north, is a detached house that was formerly a rectory, built around 1835. It features stone walls that are stuccoed and has a low pyramidal slate roof with projecting modillion eaves. The building has a square plan and is two storeys high, with three sash windows that have thin glazing bars and crown glass. The front door is centrally located on the east elevation; it is a six-panelled door from the early 19th century, topped by a semi-circular fanlight with attractive curvilinear glazing. The door jambs are adorned with matching panelling, and there is a reeded, pilaster door surround with square wooden impost blocks. The entrance is accessed by attached stone front steps that have simple iron railings.

The attached coach house features lias rubble walls, stone quoins, and brick dressings, topped with a hipped slate roof. It is also two storeys high, has approximately four sash windows and one dormer, and includes two wooden doors along with carriage doors at the centre.
