Description
The Old Rectory is a house dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century, constructed of limestone ashlar with a plinth and a moulded, bracketed parapet. The sides are made of brick, featuring stone-coped gables, while the roof is not visible. It has brick end stacks and stands two storeys tall with a three-window range. The central feature is a six-panelled door with an overlight, framed by a Doric pilaster surround. There is a large Doric porch that includes an entablature and a bracketed cornice. On both the ground and first floors, there are shallow bow windows with a central twelve-pane sash on either side. To the far right of the ground floor is a 20th-century door with a round head. The first floor has a central twelve-pane sash window. Attached to the front of the building, flush with the porch, is the original railings base, with only the railings on the far sides and flanking the porch remaining. The interior has not been inspected.
