Description
No. 50 Sheep Street is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is probably constructed of squared, coursed lias stone, now rendered, and features a plinth and a storey band. The roof is slate with brick end stacks. The building has two storeys plus an attic and a five-window range, following a two-unit plan.
At the centre of the façade is a four-panelled door with a small overlight and a rendered keyblock. Flanking the door are two tall 19th-century two-light casements with original catches and rendered keyblocks. On the first floor, there is a single-light casement in the centre, with two 19th-century two-light casements on either side. The building also has two 20th-century dormers and a catslide roof at the rear. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
