Description

No. 48 Sheep Street is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of squared, coursed lias stone, with the front rendered, featuring a plinth and a storey band. The roof is tiled and from the 20th century, topped with a brick ridge stack. The house has two storeys and a two-window range, likely following a two-unit plan. On the right side, there is a 19th-century plank door with a flat hood supported by consoles. To the left and centre right on the ground floor, there is a 20th-century three-light casement window. The first floor has corresponding openings with 19th-century three-light casements. The interior has not been inspected but is expected to be of interest.
