Description
The Warden's House is a house in a terrace, built around 1842, and was formerly a Coastguard House. It features brick walls that are plastered and has a slate roof with a battlemented parapet and coped gables, along with brick end stacks that have battlement ornamentation on their caps. The building is two storeys high and has projecting piers at each end that rise above the parapet.
The central porch is also battlemented and contains a flush panel door on the side wall, with a sash window featuring glazing bars on the front wall. On the ground floor, there are two sash windows with glazing bars, while the first floor has two similar windows and a blank window above the porch. The property is managed by the National Trust and is referenced as a monument in the Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England, Dorset Volume II.
