Description

The Carpenter's Shop is a workshop located between Quay Cottages and the Warden's House on Brownsea Island, dating from around 1842. It features brick walls that are plastered and a slate roof with a battlemented parapet at the gable end facing the quay. The building is single-storey and includes a shop window with glazing bars, a timber surround, and an entablature, as well as a part-glazed door. There is a cross-shaped opening in the gable and a string course located below the battlements. This shop is part of an important group of buildings along the harbour frontage and is owned by the National Trust.
