Description
Quay Cottages is a terrace of three cottages, originally four, built around 1842 as coastguard cottages. The cottages have brick walls that are plastered and feature slate roofs with a battlemented parapet and brick stacks along the ridge. They are two storeys high, with projecting piers at each end that rise above the parapet. In the center, there is a slightly projecting and raised section. Each of the two battlemented porches has two ledged doors. The ground floor includes five sash windows with vertical glazing bars, while the first floor has five similar windows and two blank windows above the porches. This property is managed by the National Trust.
