Description
Poplar Farm Cottage is a building with origins dating back to the 17th century. It features plastered walls and a thatched roof, along with a brick stack. The cottage is one storey high with attics. There is a modern flat-roofed single storey extension on the east side, which is part of the lobby entrance plan.
The main west elevation includes a part-glazed door set within a modern timbered porch that has a gabled roof. On the ground floor, there are two casement windows with glazing bars and one fixed window. There is also a blocked door in the south gable wall. The east elevation has two casement windows with glazing bars on the ground floor. In the attic, there is one small lead light window located under the eaves and one half-dormer featuring casements with glazing bars.
