Description

The Talbot Arms is a public house, likely dating from the early 19th century at its core but extensively remodeled in the late 19th century. The ground floor is constructed of brick, while the upper floor features half-timbering with stucco infill. It has a tiled roof with brick stacks at both ends and near the center. The building has three forward-projecting wings; the left two wings have two-storey canted bays, while the right wing features a canted oriel. The structure is two storeys high with six irregularly arranged windows, which are 12-pane sashes. There is a 20th-century door located in a 20th-century outshut between the two left-hand wings. The wings are gabled and have wooden barge-boards that form a semi-circle. The interior appears to be largely from the late 20th century, showcasing a rich design that complements other works from this period in the village.
