Description

April Cottage and the adjoining property at No. 15 form a pair of cottages dating to the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The walls are plastered, and the roofs are thatched, with brick stacks. The cottages are two storeys high. No. 14 has a later single-storey addition to the north, constructed with plastered walls and a thatched roof. This addition features a part-glazed entrance door and two casement windows with glazing bars. The main portion of No. 14 has two casement windows on the ground floor and two horizontally sliding sash windows with glazing bars on the first floor. Inside, the main ground floor room contains a large open fireplace with a timber lintel. No. 15 has a ledged door and two horizontally sliding sash windows with glazing bars on both the ground and first floors.
