Description
The Maynard Monument, located approximately 5 meters west of the tower of the Church of All Saints in Weymouth, is a headstone dating from 1712, dedicated to Mary, the wife of John Maynard. This monument features a bold yet small-scale Baroque design, characterized by an elliptical sunk bolstered panel surrounded by an ovolo-mould and enclosed within a carved border that has scroll-like terminals. The inscription is presented in all capitals, filling the entire panel.
