Description

The May monument, located in the churchyard about 8 meters west of the nave of the Church of St Mawgan, is an 18th-century headstone made of slate. It features a square head with a carved cherub with wings on the top right and left sides. The monument includes scrolled lettering and valedictory verses dedicated to Jane May, who passed away in 1799.
