Description
The bridge located northeast of the churchyard of the Church of St Mawgan spans the River Menalhyl. It is dated 1748, with an extension noted from 1865. Constructed from slatestone and granite rubble, the bridge features two spans. On the upstream side, there are two round arches with stone arch rings and a central triangular block cutwater. The left arch was skewed in the 19th century to widen the road approach on that side. The downstream side also has two round arches with stone arch rings, but without a cutwater. The parapet walls are topped with rubble coping and are splayed back at the ends. The bridge measures approximately 5 metres in width and 6 metres in length.
