Description
This boundary wall surrounds the Lanherne Carmelite Convent, dating to the late 17th century with subsequent alterations. Constructed of slatestone rubble with rubble coping, it stands approximately 3 metres high on the exterior, reflecting the lower ground level within the convent boundary. The wall’s height varies in places, stepped to accommodate the ground's contours. It runs continuously around the convent’s perimeter, with a lower profile along the front and features a doorway in the southwestern section.
