Description
Nos. 9 and 11 West Street are a pair of cottages that form part of a terrace, originating from the 18th century but partly rebuilt in the 19th century. They feature rubble stone walls and slate roofs with stone eaves courses, along with a central shared brick stack. The cottages are two storeys high.
No. 9 has a ledged door set beneath a segmental brick arch. The ground floor includes two casement windows, both under similar arches; one window has traditional glazing bars, while the other has horizontal glazing bars. On the first floor, there are two casement windows, both with glazing bars.
No. 11 also has a ledged door, which includes a small glass panel, positioned under a segmental brick arch. The ground floor has one casement window with glazing bars beneath a similar arch, and the first floor features two casement windows, again with glazing bars.
