Description
Corfe Castle Post Office is a house that also serves as a shop and Post Office, mainly dating from the 18th century but incorporating parts of a 17th-century house. It features coursed rubble stone walls and a stone slate roof, with brick stacks at the right end and at the rear. The building has two storeys. The ground floor includes a part-glazed ledged door beneath a flat hood supported by shaped brackets, along with four casements with lead lights set under flat arches. The first floor has five casements with lead lights. To the left, there is an attached flat-roofed garage made of stone with plain coping and timber garage doors. The rear of the building contains remains of the earlier structure. This property is managed by the National Trust.
