Description
Nos. 24 and 26 West Street are a pair of cottages, likely built in the early 19th century. They feature rubble stone walls, with the front walls plastered, and have stone slate roofs. The cottages are two storeys high and have a central stone stack, with the upper part plastered, and a brick stack at the left end.
No. 24 has a part-glazed panelled door. The ground floor includes three casement windows with a central horizontal glazing bar, set under stone lintels. The first floor has two similar casement windows. No. 26 also has a part-glazed panelled door. Its ground floor has two casement windows with a central horizontal bar, under stone lintels, while the first floor features two horizontally sliding sash windows with glazing bars, also under stone lintels. At the rear, there are lean-to extensions with corrugated sheet roofs.
