SY 88 SE EAST LULWORTH LULWORTH PARK 8/152 20.11.59 Wareham Gate Lodge (Nos 48 and 49 East Lulworth)

Gatehouse to Park, now used as two cottages. C17, re-erected on present site 1808. Stone walls, rendered on east side, roof concealed behind battlemented parapets. Three storeys. Outer (east) elevation has round-headed archway in centre, with projecting surround and keystone. Two mullioned windows on ground floor - four on first floor. String courses between storeys and at base of parapet. At each end, behind the Park wall, a later single-storey extension with tiled roof. Date stone above arch on west front. RCHM Monument 4.
