Description
Shaggs Cottage is a detached house dated 1788. It features ironstone walls and thatched roofs with parapets at the gables, along with brick end stacks that have oversailing caps. The cottage is one storey with attics. The entrance includes a part-glazed door set in a timber porch that has a tiled roof. On the ground floor, there are a pair of French doors and one casement window, all fitted with glazing bars. The attic contains three half-dormers, each with casement windows that also have glazing bars. Above the porch, there is a date stone. At the rear, there is a single-storey lean-to made of brick, topped with a tiled roof.
