Description
Gasper Cottage is a detached house dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. It is built of rendered rubble stone and features a thatched roof with brick stacks at the gable ends. The cottage is two stories high and has four windows across its front. The entrance consists of a six-panelled door within a brick porch that has a semi-circular opening to the left of the center. To the left of the door is a 4-pane sash window, and to the right is a canted bay window with sashes. On the first floor, there are four 9-pane sash windows set in moulded architraves.
The right side of the cottage has a 19th-century external brick stack, a 12-pane sash window, and a plate glass sash window on the first floor, along with a single-light casement in the attic. The left side features an attached 19th-century lean-to with a planked door. At the rear, there are wings made of Flemish bond brick with early 19th-century sash windows. Inside, the cottage includes stairs with stick balusters, beaded window shutters, and four-panelled doors.
