Description
The earth closet, located approximately 15 meters south-west of Mingoose Farmhouse, dates from the early to mid-19th century. It features walls made of killas rubble with some granite dressings and has timber lintels. The roof is a scantle slate pyramidal design with red clay tiles over the hips. The structure has a small square single-cell plan and is a single storey. It remains unaltered since its construction. The front (east) wall has a central doorway with an old ledged door, and there is a small central window opening on the left-hand side wall, which contains a 20th-century window. In front of the doorway, there is a rubble and earth hedge, and a rubble wall connects the earth closet to a barn on the right. The interior has not been inspected.
