Description
The building is a detached earth closet located approximately 3 metres north of Clowance Farmhouse, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It features a granite ashlar front, with the rest constructed of rubble. The roof is made of scantle slate with gable ends and red clay ridge tiles. The structure has a small single-cell square plan, with a doorway positioned at the east gable end. The east front includes a central doorway that rises slightly into the gable, and above this doorway is a granite lintel with a rectangular recessed panel. The interior fittings have been removed, but the building remains structurally intact.
