Earth-Closets And Storage Rooms Immediately Behind Ardensawah Cottages

The building consists of earth-closets and storage rooms located immediately behind Ardensawah Cottages, dating from the late 19th century. It is constructed of granite rubble with granite dressings and features a scantle slate roof with gable ends, topped with original red clay ridge tiles. The structure has a rectangular plan, with an earth-closet at either end and four storage rooms, which may have served as stables, in between. The southwest front is long and low, with six doorways. The earth-closet doorways are positioned at the far left and right, while the other doorways are located on the left side of their respective rooms. The interiors are simply lime-washed, and the earth-closets retain their original wooden seats with lids.
