Description

The building is a detached earth closet located east of The Cottage, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It features a dressed granite front, with the rest constructed from granite rubble and dressed granite quoins. The roof is made of scantle slate with gable ends and red clay ridge tiles.

The earth closet has a small single cell plan with a doorway on the south side. Inside, there is a seat along the rear wall designed for one bucket. The doorway on the south front is slightly right of the center. The interior retains its original wooden seat with a lid. This structure is a virtually complete 19th-century earth closet and is situated very close to the Church of Saint Germoe and Saint Germoe's Chair.
