Description
No. 37 Kersey Road is a house dating from the late 18th century. It features painted rubble with slate sills and a granite doorstep, along with painted stucco on the first floor front and left-hand side, likely covering studwork. The roof is made of grouted scantle slate with a hip to the left and a brick chimney located over the gable end on the right, which was formerly part of a shared party wall with a now-demolished house. The layout includes two reception rooms on either side of a central cross passage, along with a two-storey 20th-century extension built on sloping land at the rear. The house is two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-window front facing the road, featuring old 16-pane two-light casements. The central doorway has a 20th-century replacement doorcase and a four-panel door. The interior has not been inspected.
