Description
Tregullow Lodge, built around 1830, serves as the lodge for Tregullow House. It features a roughly cruciform plan with a two-unit main range and short wings at the front and rear, along with a lean-to in the rear angle. Constructed from Killas rubble with granite dressings and a slate roof, the lodge is designed in the Tudor style and is a single storey. The north front, facing the drive, includes a gabled porch on the left with a chamfered four-centred arched doorway, and a single-light window to the right. The short projecting wing to the right has a three-light mullioned window. A chimney stack is located behind the ridge. The east gable wall features a small canted bay with a four-light mullioned window, while the west gable has a three-light window. The rear wing contains a single-light window on its south side and a door in the gable wall. All windows have chamfered reveals, with most featuring diamond leaded glazing. The interior has a three-room plan, plus a half-sunk scullery in the lean-to. Approximately 5 metres east of the lodge are the associated gatepiers, which consist of four sturdy monoliths, each about half a metre square and two metres high, topped with shallow pyramidal caps. The inner and outer piers are connected by unique stone railings with narrow round-headed openings and rounded coping.
