Description

Tregullow Cottage is a house located in St Day, likely dating from the 18th century, with some alterations. The building is constructed of uncoursed rubble, partly rendered and painted white, topped with a graduated slate roof. It has an L-shaped plan formed by a two-unit main range with a rear extension. The cottage is two storeys high and features two wide bays. The central doorway is now covered by a large rectangular glazed porch. On each floor, there are two small 4-pane sash windows, with those on the first floor offset to the left. All windows are flanked by modern pseudo-shutters. The steeply-pitched roof has gable chimneys, with the right-hand chimney being extruded and having a wider base, suggesting the presence of an internal bread oven. A small privy is attached to the wall in front of this chimney. The interior has not been inspected.
